Prints and Pricing

The majority of my printed images are direct from original colour slides and each print is hand-printed by BPD (see Links) as a 'cibachrome' print which is the highest quality material available for slide film - with tremendous properties of colour brilliance, sharpness and archival permanency. Alternatively some of my images have a digital source and these will also be produced by BPD but using a laser light technology onto traditional film medium ie. not ink / laser jet technology. Again the quality is superb and equally long lasting.

All prints are sold mounted and matted with an ivory-coloured window matt using acid-free materials to avoid affecting the photograph.

Each print is sold as one of a Limited Edition of 200 prints and will be signed and numbered and have a certificate of authenticity included with the print. This guarantees that the issue of your first-generation print will not exceed 200 copies (although this does not include potential reproduction in mass-produced, lower quality forms such as calendars, postcards, mouse mats, magazines, etc.).

The Limited Edition prints are available in a choice of two sizes - both being part of the same 200 Limited Edition set - 15 inches (38cm) by 10 inches (25cm) approximately and 7.5 inches (19cm) by 5 inches (12.5cm) approximately. The longer dimension generally being set but the shorter dimension may vary depending upon the format of the image itself. When matted these dimensions become 20 inches (50cm) by 16 inches (40cm) and 11 inches (27.5cm) by 9 inches (22.5cm).

Framing is an optional service and comes complete with frame, backing board and hooks - so it is ready to hang. The frame is in a contemporary lime-washed finish to complement any decor - as illustrated below.

If you wish to buy several prints (for example a set of 3 'Pencil' themed prints) then discount will be :-

3 or 4 prints - 5% discount
5 or more prints - 10% discount

Name and code number of each print required (which can be seen on the gallery and individual image pages)
Size of print
Frame (indicate if required)
Your name and address
Phone number (should I need to clarify your order)
E-mail address (for Order confirmation)
A cheque covering the full amount, including post/packaging costs. Cheques should be made payable to G. Longstaff

NB At present I can only accept payment in £ sterling and by cheque - although I am considering including credit card eg. Paypal, facilities in the near future.

Please note : I do not hold stock of prints - they are individually hand-printed when requested, then framed. This means delivery times can be upto 3 weeks to the UK - although our target time would be under 2 weeks. I will keep you informed via e-mail of key progress stages ie. receipt of order; despatch of order and (if required) of any unforeseen changes to the delivery schedule.
